Regali da incartare, ricette da preparare, ma soprattutto un'intera casa da riempire di luci e addobbi. Il <\/span>Conto alla rovescia di Natale <\/b>\u00e8 iniziato, e anche se le vacanze di quest'anno sono un po' diverse dal solito, l'aria \u00e8 <\/span>piena di magia<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mentre stai preparando l'ennesima cioccolata calda, per essere pronto per la grande abbuffata, vogliamo raccontarti un<\/span> curioso aneddoto<\/b> a questo proposito di questa <\/span>vacanza magica<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Conosci le<\/span> origini del Natale<\/b>? Poche persone sanno che non \u00e8 una festa cristiana e che le origini del Natale sono anteriori alla nascita di Ges\u00f9. Si, hai capito bene! Il Natale esiste da prima del \u201cbambinello\u201d, come si dice a Roma.<\/span><\/p>\n

C'era una volta il solstizio d'inverno<\/b><\/h2>\n

Le <\/span>solstizio d'inverno<\/b> \u00e8 un <\/span>fenomeno astronomico<\/b>che si verifica il 21 o 22 dicembre: il sole raggiunge il suo punto pi\u00f9 basso nel cielo, poi inverte la rotta e risorge, rinasce. <\/span>Il giorno pi\u00f9 corto dell'anno incontra la notte pi\u00f9 lunga<\/b>: il sole sembra \u201cspegnersi\u201d per la poca luce che ci d\u00e0. Dal giorno successivo, invece, ricomincia ad \u201caccendersi\u201d, per poi raggiungere la sua massima \u201cpotenza\u201d (almeno per noi terrestri) nel solstizio d'estate.<\/span><\/p>\n

Logico che questo fenomeno non passasse inosservato dagli antichi e, in modo molto primitivo, gli fosse dato un significato religioso con il suo culto.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cos\u00ec \u00e8 nato il <\/span>culto del Sol Invictus.<\/b> All'inizio veniva celebrato in Oriente, in Siria ed Egitto in particolare, e poi raggiunse <\/span>antica Roma<\/b>. L'imperatore Aureliano adott\u00f2 il <\/span>sole come il dio supremo <\/b>dell'Impero Romano e veniva <\/span>celebrato il 25 dicembre<\/b>!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Natale nell'antica Roma: banchetti e abeti<\/b><\/h2>\n

Il 25 dicembre era un giorno di grande festa a Roma: il<\/span> Natalis Solis Invicti<\/b>. In ogni casa venivano organizzati grandi banchetti ai quali tutti erano invitati (schiavi compresi!). Brindisi, buon cibo e, ovviamente,<\/span> i regali<\/b>!<\/span><\/p>\n

Babbo Natale non lavorava ancora, con le sue renne e la sua slitta, ma non mancavano <\/span>pacchi <\/b>in questo giorno. Al contrario, era molto importante essere generosi: privarsi di qualcosa per darlo a qualcuno era considerato un atto di \u201cbuona fortuna\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Il regalo che non poteva mai mancare? Un<\/span> ramo di pino<\/b>. Quale miglior augurio di felicit\u00e0 e abbondanza di un ramo sempreverde! Poi ovviamente c'erano i giocattoli per i bambini, mentre per gli adulti c'erano vestiti, statue e animali.<\/span><\/p>\n

Da pagano a cristiano: la magia continua<\/b><\/h2>\n

Quando il cristianesimo cominci\u00f2 ad essere accettato come religione, le prime <\/span>Comunit\u00e0 cristiane<\/b> iniziarono a festeggiare il loro <\/span>proprio Natale<\/b>, che fecero coincidere non pi\u00f9 con la nascita del \u201cnuovo\u201d sole, ma con quella di Ges\u00f9. Ma all'inizio erano tutti un po '... confusi!<\/span><\/p>\n

Ebbene, non \u00e8 stato celebrato subito a dicembre: c'era chi lo celebrava a gennaio, chi a marzo, chi, addirittura, ad aprile! Ma da <\/span>336 d.C.<\/b> \u00e8 stata raggiunta una data comune:<\/span> 25 Dicembre.<\/b> La data era probabilmente stata scelta per sostituire la festa di Natalis Solis Invicti con la celebrazione della nascita di Cristo.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Il Natale \u00e8 probabilmente il caso pi\u00f9 significativo dell'assorbimento da parte del cristianesimo di un concetto legato alla religione romana dell'epoca. Le "divinit\u00e0" cambiarono, ma lo spirito della festa rimase immutato. Fino ad oggi.<\/span><\/p>\n
