oggi vogliamo portarvi a scoprire uno dei quartieri pi\u00f9 affascinanti di Roma<\/strong>: il rione Monti.<\/strong>
\nNel cuore della citt\u00e0, Monti \u00e8 un vero gioiello<\/strong>, uno scrigno di tradizioni, storia e molto altro piccoli negozi di artigiani<\/strong>.
\nL'aria nel quartiere \u00e8 cos\u00ec creativa e frizzante<\/strong>, che abbiamo deciso di aprire il nostro piccolo ufficio<\/strong> qui, insieme ai nostri amici di Luleka<\/a>. Pi\u00f9 che un ufficio, \u00e8 un bellissimo giardino urbano<\/strong>, dove potete venirci a trovare per un caff\u00e8 \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

Dove tutto \u00e8 iniziato ...<\/h2>\n

Al giorno d'oggi il Rione Monti<\/strong> \u00e8 uno dei punti di ritrovo della movida, con tanti piccoli locali ideali per aperitivi, street food ma anche per la cucina tipica romana. Inoltre, esso \u00e8 popolata da artigiani<\/strong> \u201cCome una volta\u201d, che creano non oggetti, ma vere opere d'arte.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ma c'\u00e8 molto di pi\u00f9.<\/p>\n

Le strade labirintiche e le mura dei palazzi raccontano una storia molto antica<\/strong>. In epoca romana questa zona della citt\u00e0 era chiamata "Suburra"<\/strong>, cio\u00e8 "malfamato", "malsano". Era uno dei quartieri pi\u00f9 popolari e malfamati<\/strong> della grande capitale dell'Impero. Se ci\u00f2 non bastasse, essendo situata in una sorta di conca tra tre dei sette colli, la zona era spesso paludosa e malsana.
\nLe persone pi\u00f9 povere<\/strong> e i vagabondi vivevano qui. Eppure era a due passi dal cuore pulsante della citt\u00e0: i Fori. Era anche il \"nascondiglio\" di molte prostitute<\/strong>, che nei loro bordelli facevano grandi affari, al punto che Monti venne soprannominato il \u201cQuartiere del piacere di Roma\u201d.<\/strong>
\nE proprio tra questi negozi, bordelli e termopholia (i \u201cpub\u201d dell'epoca), sono nati personaggi che hanno fatto la storia di Roma e dell'Impero. Un esempio? Giulio Cesare<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Il quartiere parlante<\/h2>\n

Una delle caratteristiche pi\u00f9 distintive del quartiere \u00e8 quella di racchiudere storie curiose<\/strong>, e in parte dimenticate, nei nomi delle sue strade<\/strong> e piazze. Molte di queste non sono per niente casuali, ma sono legate ad antiche tradizioni o eventi realmente accaduti.<\/p>\n

Un esempio \u00e8 Piazza degli Zingari.<\/strong> Punto di arrivo di tre strade, la piazza prende il nome dalla carovane di zingari<\/strong> che si \u00e8 fermavarono qui dal 1600<\/strong>. Chiamati a Roma in occasione dei carnevali<\/strong> organizzati dalle grandi famiglie borghesi romane, si facevano sostare in questa zona perch\u00e9 sufficientemente lontani dai sontuosi palazzi, dove erano invitati solo il giorno della festa, cos\u00ec da minimizzare il rischio di\u2026 furti!<\/p>\n

Tuttavia, nella zona gi\u00e0 vivevano molti gruppi etnici diversi<\/strong>, essendo gi\u00e0 a quel tempo un quartiere vivace e un ottimo punto d'incontro tra culture diverse<\/strong>. In Via degli Zingari, ad esempio, c'\u00e8 una targa che ricorda Sinti e altri gruppi che scelsero Monti come luogo per le loro attivit\u00e0 e negozi.<\/p>\n

\nPiangere lacrime amare<\/h2>\n

Passeggiando per le vie del quartiere noterete molti piccoli madonne agli angoli<\/strong> delle strade, chiamato le "Madonnelle di Roma",<\/strong> un simbolo di forte devozione popolare<\/strong>. A Roma ce n'erano circa 2500 sparse per la citt\u00e0.<\/p>\n

Alcune Madonnelle sono legate a miracoli<\/strong> e storie, ora diventati leggenda. A Monti la pi\u00f9 famosa \u00e8 l'edicola<\/strong> alla fine di Via Baccina<\/strong>, che fu protagonista di non uno, ma ben due miracoli.<\/strong>
\nIl primo racconta che, nonostante il caldo estivo, alcuni gigli<\/strong> posto vicino all'edicola in onore del Vergine<\/strong> non sono appassiti per giorni e giorni. I pi\u00f9 grandi sostenitori affermano addirittura per mesi.
\nIl secondo narra che, appena prima dell' Invasione francese<\/strong>, l' Madonnina inizi\u00f2 a piangere<\/strong> lacrime vere, sconvolta per il triste destino che sarebbe toccato alla citt\u00e0.
\nI pi\u00f9 devoti li chiamano miracoli, i pi\u00f9 scettici \u201ccolpi di caldo e vino in piena estate\u201d.<\/p>\n
